A downloadable manifesto

In 2021 I started making more of an effort to liberate my very analytical thoughts on video games from my head and into some less ephemeral medium. This has very quickly devolved from actual attempts at something that could feasibly be published as a blog post into erratic bullet-point streams of consciousness.

The best way I can describe this and the other manifestos that I've written is as a monologue that I am delivering to you over lunch because you asked what I've been playing lately. They're written primarily for my own entertainment and secondarily to make my friends laugh,  but you can read them too I guess.

Anyway this is a 23-page 6800-word PDF of my thoughts in bullet point format about the 2007 DS game Hotel Dusk: Room 215. It is not spoiler-free but I don't think reading it before playing the game would ruin your experience (if going spoiler-free into a 15-year old puzzle mystery adventure game is something you're particularly concerned about). Enjoy!
